JTC offers a range of purpose-built space and infrastructure solutions that enhance Singapore’s position as Asia’s premier biomedical hub. With our suite of future-ready facilities, including Biopolis for biomedical research, Tuas Biomedical Park for pharmaceutical, biologics and nutraceutical manufacturing, and MedTech Park for medical technology manufacturing, we are set to help companies enhance their competitiveness and expand their global footprint.
Biopolis is an established biomedical sciences research and development (R&D) hub in Asia. It is home to both public and private R&D organisations and anchors the development of the entire R&D value chain of life sciences. This encompasses basic drug discovery, clinical development and medical technology research. Today, Biopolis comprises 13 buildings with a total floor area of over 340,000 square metres.
Tuas Biomedical Park (TBP) is a world-class manufacturing hub supporting pharmaceutical, biologics and nutraceutical manufacturing activities in Singapore. Home to many global biomedical companies, the 280-hectare park brings about greater economies of scale and industry collaborations through the sharing of amenities and infrastructure.
Located at the epicentre of TBP, JTC Space @ Tuas Biomedical Park is a 29,000 square metres integrated development comprising industrial units, laboratories and shared meeting and training rooms. The development is suitable for biomedical companies requiring ready-built space to set up manufacturing operations. The industrial units and laboratories are also targeted at companies providing supporting services such as instrument calibration, equipment fabrication and maintenance for TBP companies and those in the surrounding Tuas South estate. Amenities in the development such as a healthcare clinic and food centre provide added convenience to tenants and nearby companies.
JTC MedTech Hub @ MedTech Park is a nine-storey multi-tenanted development that aims to cluster medical device product owners, original equipment manufacturers and service providers to enhance synergies and collaborations. Located along Tukang Innovation Grove at the centre of MedTech Park, the 38,000 square metres multi-tenanted facility supports the growth of the medical device industry. With the added convenience of plug-and-play infrastructure such as centralised air-conditioning chillers and other utility provisions, companies can jump-start their operations and focus on their core activities.
Set up in 1968, JTC is the lead government agency responsible for the development of industrial infrastructure to support and catalyse the growth of industries and enterprises in Singapore. Landmark projects by JTC include Jurong Industrial Estate; Jurong Island for energy and chemical industries; business and specialised parks such as Airport Logistics Park of Singapore, International Business Park, Changi Business Park, Seletar Aerospace Park, CleanTech Park and Tuas Biomedical Park; a new work-live-play-&-learn development called one-north; and the Jurong Rock Caverns, Southeast Asia’s first commercial underground storage facility for liquid hydrocarbons. JTC also develops innovative space such as JTC Surface Engineering Hub, JTC MedTech Hub @ MedTech Park and JTC Food Hub @ Senoko, which incorporate innovative features and shared infrastructure to enable industrialists to start their operations quickly and enhance productivity.
