In the special needs education, it is not just about teaching students one math skill or a linguistic skill, but rather to empower them to be flexible and use the individual skills innovatively and together with peers. And technology is helping to SEN educators and specialists do just that.

At EduTECH Asia last November, we had the opportunity to chat with with Jeanette Buckley, Associate Head of School, The Winstedt School who shared her insights on using technology in SEN Education, growth mindset and how they are preparing their students for the future:

In 2018, EduTECH Asia will span across 4 exciting days, the event will feature 300+ speakers across 8 theatres of content spanning topics in K-12 Education, Tertiary Education, IT Transformation, Vocational Training (VET), Early Childhood Education, Special Educational Needs (SEN), the Business of Education and new for 2018, EduBUILD as well as EduSLAM Sessions, Workshops, roundtables, school tours and more. The event will also feature a free exhibition showcasing the latest edtech innovations and technologies as well as a makerspace, Robotics zone, Entrepreneurship Village and #teachtechtalks seminars for teachers by teachers.

Spark Something @EduTECH Asia 2018

Back for its third edition, EduTECH Asia 2018 will take place at Suntec Singapore on 8-10 October. Across the three-days, we’ll be discussing, debating and workshopping on the profound impact of technology on how we teach, where we teach and what we teach.

And we’re looking for educators from across Asia to SPARK SOMETHING @ EduTECH Asia

Spark Something is a platform that allows you, our community, to submit your great session ideas to us across a variety of different participation formats. From 7 minute lightning presentations to two hour workshops, this could be the ideal forum for you to share your insights, pedagogies, tools and techniques with a wide ranging audience of educators, technology providers and policymakers in themes such as New Pedagogies, Cybersecurity & Data Management, SMART Learning Tech in SEN, Learning Technologies , ICT Infrastructure & Planning and more!
