charisWe spoke to Charist Montenegro from Infobip Philippines about their views towards the exciting Philippines market, on how local services now has extended accessibility on several devices and how Infobip’s efficient platform is enabling this services and solutions.

D: Hi Charist! Tell us a bit about your role and what that involves on a daily basis 
C: As the Country Manager, my main role is like the captain of the ship, to drive sales and operation of the Philippine team and to make it possible that we hit our quarterly KPI. On a daily basis, I monitor reports of each Sales Managers and Account Manager (using internal tools) in terms of their activities, client traffic and assist them in any escalation or concerns.

D: What one trend in your industry has your attention and excited and why? 
C: The proliferation of local services extended accessibility using mobile apps. Either this is for personal, work or play, a lot of startups and even known companies have expanded reach using mobile apps. This is what we’re all excited about and how Infobip can further help their business.

D: How has the industry changed since you first got involved in it?
C: It has improved a lot in terms of efficiency and competence. And the need to do globalization or at least by its standard to be at par with other global competitors.

D: Give us a sneak peek into what you’ll be showcasing at Seamless Philippines 2017? 
C: Omni Channel, our most efficient platform to date that enables you to send messages across various channels available. Aside from SMS, we offer Voice, Viber, Email and Push Notification for apps. 

D: What one trend in the Philippines market are you most excited about and why? 
C:  E-commerce and this is one of the fastest growing business whether for startups and known companies, as it has a lot of potential on untapped market as well as moving traditional brick and mortar business to online and accessibility and convenience has never been better.


 About Charist Montenegro: 

Since joining Infobip in December 2015 as Business Development Manager, she was part of Philippine sales team where she has on boarded several clients in different industries such as Retail, Publication, Healthcare and Recruitment. She has earned her BS Electronics and Communications Engineering in Lyceum of the Philippines University.

Charist has taken the new role as Country Manager and has high hopes to drive sales and operation of Philippine team to success.

Before joining Infobip, she has worked with Sun Cellular, Yondu and Huawei Technologies Philippines
