Could you share something about yourself with our readers?

I am Pascal Martin, founder and CEO of Delishop. I have spent the early years of my 30 year career in the supply chain industry in France, Hong Kong and China before joining one of the largest global retailers spending 10 years developing the supply chain and various commercial projects around the world. Later I founded a consulting firm providing projects to many international retailers before returning to the 3PL sector in a world leading Logistics Company for which I opened the first international logistics office in Yangon in 2012.

I am very passionate about technology. I was the first to develop a Web based tender management system in Hong Kong in the Logistics industry in 2000 when internet and Web design were still in very primitive state. My expertise in retail, logistics and web technology were the obvious reasons that led to the creation of Delishop now one of the leading e-commerce platform for grocery and food delivery.

What will I be speaking about?

Food delivery and cool chain…

Why this topic is close to my heart?

This topic is close to my heart because very few companies have been able to develop a sustainable delivery process combining the delivery of fresh, frozen and dry products together. Delishop was the first online Grocery store able to offer same day delivery in Bangkok; we opened the way for others to follow.

What are the key challenges around the future of retail in TH

Like everywhere else the future of retail e-commerce will grow with the development of logistics providers, e-payment solutions (only 25% is paid online) and smartphone penetration which represent already 80% in 2017.
